Is this a sprain or strain, ligament or muscle injury?

I have in the past couple of hours stupidly done something to my foot/ankle.  I had been crossing my right leg over my left knee whilst typing on my laptop and when I stopped, my leg had 'gone to sleep'.  With an insistent cat miaowing for dinner, I got up immediately and tried to walk but the complete numbness in my foot and leg made my ankle go right over.  The numbness sure disappeared quickly!  The pain made me cry out and I went dizzy.

I now have pain in the area about 1" BELOW my ankle bone, especially in one particular spot, and the pain spreads for about 3" across the foot, following the line of the ankle bone around the ankle, and DOWN the bones of my fourth and fifth toes for about an inch.  Very warm to the touch, compared to the other foot, a bit of swelling (though not as bad as when I fell down the stairs and twisted my foot years ago) and very painful to walk.  Is painful (but not unbearably) whilst sitting, but there is now a 'burning/buzzing' feeling around the area (can't quite explain it).

I've gone online to see whether to treat for a sprain or a strain on a ligament or a muscle injury or what?  I'm really not sure what to treat but can't find the exact 'spot' on any diagrams.  I can put my foot up with an ice pack (until the other cats come in for THEIR dinners as I live on my own), but should I be doing anything else?

Presumably there's nothing to be done at a walk-in clinic or doctor's surgery that I can't do myself?

I should mention that I have had various surgeries on that foot over the years (bunion, hammer toes), and now there is that same 'burning/buzzing' feeling in the bottom of my toes also after doing this, presumably a 'shock' effect on them!

Anyway, any advice welcome, thank you.
