Is this an allergy? Help!

I started with itchy skin around my eyes 8 weeks ago. At its worst I get watery eyes, blurry vision and a stuffed nose. Am really tired all of the time and my thyroid TSH level is below range but the GP days this wouldn’t cause the itchy skin etc. I’ve seen a dermatologist and have been patch tested for the usual suspects but nothing. The derm said eczema but I don’t have a rash just the itch. He said my skin was dry and it is a little better if I keep moisturising but it doesn’t go and the eye symptoms persist. It’s not all day and I have had 2 days in 8 weeks when I didn’t itch but mostly it starts around lunch time and is bad from then throughout the evening but I can get it all day. I’ve read that food allergies can cause these symptoms although I don’t really get an upset stomach at the same time. Could this be a food allergy?  I wash my hair every 2 days at night and never have the symptoms straight after or in the night so had written off shampoo etc but I’ve really no idea on the reaction time so it’s impossible to identify what triggers it. Im really low and finding it difficult to work or socialise. Any ideas?

This could be an allergy on any kind of face cream you use. You should test safe allergy products as well and exclude red products, citruses, products with high holesterol

It’s not knowing the reaction time that’s the issue. I did go without using anything for a couple of days but my skin still itched. When do you know if your skin doesn’t like something? Is it within a few mins? Straight after? An hour? How long does the reaction stay? Can you become sensitive to everything!!!!! Doc put me on 0.5% HCO yesterday. Not been tried before. Told me to use it twice a day for a week to calm the inflammatory response and break the itch cycle. The only face cream I’m using now is CeraVe moisturising lotion.  Not a lot in that but maybe I try just Vaseline for a while . Of course I could be allergic to petroleum! Thanks for the advice.
