Is this Balanitis? I'm 21, had it most of my whole life, no treatment has worked

Hello, I've seen a doctor many times about a mild condition I have on my penis glans, have been prescribed 3 different creams including Betnovate and a Hydrocortisone, a course of antibiotics and a swab which said I was clear and still the condition remains. I used to have a tight foreskin up until last year which is now sorted from stretching, and I think the condition began during my teenage years when I wasn't able to wash the glans. It often feels dry and can sometmes feel slightly painful when the foreskin retracts, almost like its rubbing and the sensitivity everywhere is quite high still, not sure if this is due to the condition. The urethra opening is always red and inflamed and red areas appear frequently around the glans itself. Any advise on what I should do would be much appreciated, have attached a photo too. Many thanks!

This looks more like irritation of a contact source like cleaning with soaps or bodywashes or using a lubricant that is irritating you glans. I would assess your hygiene practices, that could be the course of your irritation.

Urine is what causes most skin problems on the head of the penis and the foreskin.

Try rolling back your foreskin each time you pee and drying afterwards with toilet paper. Do this every time you pee, same after you ejaculate.

I suffered with lichen sclerosus for years, steroid creams only worked temporarily. The above method solved my problem permanently.

It's really that simple. Keep your penis dry, urine and other moisture causes skin problems.

For anyone here who has done their research and determined that you, as I, have either CPPS/Pudendal Neuralgia/Pinched pudendal nerve ( most likely what most of us here have): I have made my symptoms next to nothing by stretching. I have had similar symptoms (circumcised) for almost 2 years now and was desperate for answers until something guided me to doing pelvic floor stretches and an 8 minute video of stretches for doing the splits (on YouTube) and I had to share the experience.

It won't hurt to try, it's worth doing it, I promise.

who recommended hydrocortisone to you? for me it worsened the situation from the first use, washed only with warm water, take only antibiotic recommended by the doctor and do not apply creams and other things because it will make the situation worse., take some supplements based on zinc, selenium on me helped

Have anyone found a solution to this? I've been changing my diet:

    • reducing the sugar and taking at least one garlic clove
    • plain yogurt
    • drink water

I have to wash my penis (twice a day) with only water. And every time I have build-up of smegma. I'm uncircumcised, but in 32 years of my life, this was never an issue. When I was younger I used to get smegma if I didn't shower for 2-3 days. Now, I get this every day. Also, even after cleaning and looking good, I feel my glans are itchy.

    This is what I've done:

    1. I took Fluconazole pills, and it reduces it a little within 2 days, but it comes back soon after that.
    2. I work out and have a healthy diet.
    3. I've moistened the area in the past but it made it drier.
    4. I stopped using a Lube when having sex because the lube had glycerin and other chemicals that most likely started all this problem.
    5. I always wash my penis right after sex.
    6. I neutralized the skin glans by washing it with "salt water" and baking powder. It seems that if it were bacterial, these would die off in a salty environment. It gets better for a day, but it comes back.

SYMPTOMS: Itchiness > Skin breaks > thick smegma over-production under the foreskin > light irritation.

I've had this for over 2 years, and not sure what else to do.

QUESTION: Could this have started when having anal sex without a condom? If I put my penis inside my wife's rectum?

Has anyone found a solution for this? I had unprotected sex and started having symptoms that same week. Ive had unprotected sex in the past and nothing has happened. I don't do that often but maybe a total of 5 times in my life time. Ive gone to the doctor a total of 5 times already including a urologist. Ive been tested for stds, HIV, etc and everything came back negative. My main symptom that is bothering me is my urgency to pee. My penis head is inflammed but it doesnt hurt as much. It usually only hurts when I drink alot of water and have to pee every 10 minutes. Ive been having this issue for 2 months now. Ive changed the way I eat, replaced my underwear, changed my body wash and countless other things and nothing is helping. I tried seeing if having sex would be okay but it hurt very bad after. I did use a condom. It didnt hurt at all during but maybe an hour later, my penis really felt swollen. Doctors have given me medication (doxycycline) and creams and nothing has helped. One doctor thought it was a UTI then another thought it was balanitis then my most recent doctor (urologist) thinks its urethritis. He instructed to take my doxycycline with Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation but it has not helped. Can someone possibly help me? here are some of my other symptoms :

    Burning while peeing

Red spots on penis (comes and goes)

    Frequent urination in small amounts

    Discoloration on penis head

    Foul smelling urine

Lots of bubbles when I pee

Discharge (only comes out when I pee)
