Is this balantis or is it something else… worried

hi i've noticed red marks on my foreskin. they're not painful, but worried what they might be. i've read up on balantis, but freaking out...

any advice?

    Hi it looks irritated it could be balanitis but if you are sexually active? But you should get it checked either way.

      im getting it checked, yes. been prescribed a cream that hasnt done anything so far.

      sexually active, but with same person, who thought was same... worried now

      That's good you have gotten it checked with your doctor if the treatment doesn't help then go back they may refer you to a dermatologist.

      It definitely is irritated looking have you used any new washing powder fabric softener new shower gels they can have a bad effect on deleted areas of skin. I'd just wash with water and maybe emollient wash this should help also. It does look like a balanitis or perhaps a fungal infection it might be just a case of getting the right cream and trying it for a few weeks.

      cheers i will do. have just changed shower gel actually...

      you don't think its anything to worry about then?

      and still waiting on dr appointment so worrying... i have been using clotrimazole but it doesnt really work...

      Hay North I'd just use some warm water and emollient wash for now and maybe keep the foreskin retracted if you can to keep it dry.

      I wouldn't worry too much it's probably just a balanitis infection but you still need to have it checked if you haven't already done so. You might need something a little stronger than Clotrimazole? And it could take a while to clear.
