Is this brain fog or am i going crazy?

so for the past couple days ive been waking up at night and im anxious but also my thoughts make absolutely no sense and when i try to remember what i was thinking about i cant but i just know what i was thinking was nonsense. also i just cant grasp my thoughts easy at all when i wake at night, then i get worried it means im about to go crazy and cant sleep i feel like not myself, and its hard to feel not out of place at the moment. i have issues with concentration, with putting thoughts together, racing thoughts, things around me look weird and just like theres something off but i know theres not, i feel overstimulated easier than usual and its hard for me to really explain how im feeling right now. i feel like im about to lose touch with reality because of all these feelings and i just want to feel normal again. it sucks. any advice or input would be appreciated. also i just had my 3rd baby almost 6 months ago and im breastfeeding and my period still hasnt come back so not sure if the hormones from breastfeeding and the hormones from my body trying to make my period come back could be contributing to this issue or not, but i always get bad like this around the same time each month and a couple times in between.

sounds like you are suffering from anxiety and stress. You are not going crazy. Those symptoms are common with people who have anxiety and long-term anxiety as well as depression. Did you have anxiety before you had the baby?

the Brain is very complex and when you have anxiety, it messes with the brain and all of the connections. That’s why you have issues with concentration, racing thoughts, things looking weird, etc. It’s not permanent and you will feel better. Ironically it’s your brain trying to protect you from stress but it has a weird way of showing it! give yourself some time and your body time to relax down. I’m sure hormones also have a role in this. take care of yourself and hopefully you have help with the baby and your other children.you’re going to be OK.
