Is this Fibro? Neck and shoulder pain and stiffness.

Hi,
?I had chronic fatigue syndrome for around 10 years and managed to get through it. Not back to a normal life but to a life without the constant sore throat, aching and malaise. It was about 5 years ago that I got 'better' But for the last three years I have had neck pain and stiffness. It reached it's peak pain wise 18 months ago and I am in the middle of a flare up at the moment. The pain is associated with one specific muscle on my left side, but all my neck muscles seize up, stiffen and are painful. The pain goes to my shoulders and down my back.
?I know that to be diagnosed with Fibro you need to have pain in more than one area, but with my previous diagnosis I am wondering if there is a connection. I recently had the signs of chronic fatigue again with a sore throat that I was convinced would turn into flu but had gone by the morning, and on a separate occasion aching in my bones that went after pain relief.
?I would be grateful for any advice. I am seeing a bone doctor next month, I've waited 6 months for the appointment and I'm not convinced it will do any good as I don't have pain associated with my bones.
?Thanks

Hi Kath46835,
I am wondering if you previously had glandular fever???
Were you ever tested for this???
The fact that you had fatigue, sore throat , aching and felt like you were going to get flu?? You can have flare ups with is condition also but can also turn to fibromyalgia!
My Daughter had been diagnosed with Glandular fever twice in 3 years and has recurring flare ups which isn't great for her considering she was at the time training to become a Nurse Nd with last flare up which happen just whilst she had to do a presentation and dissertation then ended up in hospital with the fever and dehydration! She has luckily passed😁. I too suffer from Fibromyalgia and get the pains in my shoulders and between shoulder blades. Between the shoulder blades can also go into spasm which is painful too. Can't believe it's taken you 6 months to get this appointment that's disgusting. Change Dr's!
I sympathise with you totally with the pain situation and think you should request a referral to a rheumatologist who can give you an accurate diagnosis and rule other things out??
Be kind to yourself and hope the Dr's appointment went well?
Let me know how you got on??
Kind Regards
