Is this genital herpes symptoms?

Posted , 4 users are following.

The section between my labia majora and minora feels like it is irritated. No bumps outside of the normal fordyce spots or blisters and no itching. On a pain scale, it is at a 1, just an annoying pain almost like a rash however I do not have any redness.

Are these traditional herpes symptoms? I’m assuming maybe my skin is irritated due to a new soap I bought.

This has been going on for a month now

I've been having irritation on and round my clit for almost two months now. And I haven't gotten any blisters either. I just got tested, so I'll get the results for it sometime this coming week. Have you gone to the Dr. to see if it's just a yeast infection or something along those lines?

Doctor did not run a test but she did not see any signs of irritance

You should ask her to get tested, and ask for hsv testing and also swabbed for any yeast or bacterial infections.

She did swab me for infections since it was during my pap and nothing cane up.

It’s just weird. No discharge or anything just a slight irritating pain.

I would have to go back and ask about hsv and of course I’m scared.

Only reason herpes even came to mind is because like a genius, I googled “labia irritation” and damn near everything said herpes smh.

Never google your symptoms. Makes you a hypercondriac lol

Do you have a reason to think you have it? I had protected sex, then found out he was hsv2 +, so that why I've been worried. Because I've been irritated for almost 2 month.

I had sex with someone a year ago and as of last month,  my labia feels irritated. Again, no blisters, bumps, discharge, itching...NOTHING. So I googled and of course outside of yeast infection, cancer, other irritants, herpes was on the list. Of course I zoomed in on herpes and been on a rabbit hole since .

I’ve inspected literally every part of my vagina throughout and everything is normal.

Me too. And it can be different in everyone,my friend just gets a irritated spot every once in a while. so ur best bet is to get tested and just know for sure. Especially since it's been a year, so you will only have to wait for the results.

I'm in the same boat - the irritation is on and off. Some days it's fine and some days it isn't. But I think maybe because I constantly think about it and it's my main focus, I feel every single sensation that would normally not even spark a thought in my mind if that makes sense?

Completely understand. Based on the hundreds of articles and pictures ivevrrsd, I honestly do not believe it’s hsv. I am nervous to confirm it though.

I understand. I am too scared as well. I did get a blood test done after my encounter, and it was fine and also had a full STD screening at my pap a few months ago - but my mind still is not at ease...

They say that at 6 months, it is when you can get the official accurate results.

Herpes could not make constant symptoms for long weeks. But take care herpes blisters are minute and you may not realize them if you dont know how they look like. But you should be sure you are fine if many doctors say you are ok. Try to take pics of area of irritation.
