Is this herpes?

I haven't been diagnosed with herpes and can't afford to go to the doctor. These ulcers seem to appear every 3 or so months. They itch like crazy, they burn, but the pain has become bearable. I hope its not but expect the worse. I have been treating as if it is herpes. I told the guy Im dating í have herpes just in case. Blisters have never formed just these ulcers that don't always appear in the same spot.

Where else do they occur and how many at any one time? Do they ever resemble oral canker sores? How long before they go away? Is the one pictured typical of how they always look? This particular one looks like it could be a Bartholin's cyst, primarily due it's swollen size and location, but if you're getting them in other locations, etc., then that rules that out. Pity you can't get down to a doctor for a swab test asap.

Usually just by that area, lately its only been one. The time varies from one to two weeks. The first time it ever happened there were a bunch of them and that lasted for 2 months almost.

What I can see in the latest photos is a lot more suspect and definitely not a simple Bartholin's cyst, I'm afraid. These sores do look a lot like herpes lesions and the fact they recur (and to a lesser degree) in roughly the same location is also suggestive of herpes. Only unusual thing is that they take much longer to heal than herpes, more than twice as long. A first outbreak should be fully gone in a month, and recurrences usually clear up within a week. The next time you get an outbreak, you should really try to get it swabbed and typed asap, if possible (swab is better than any blood test), so that you know for sure.
