Is this herpes?

Posted , 8 users are following.

I have been with my current boyfriend for 6 months. (Using scented soap gives me yeast infections.) I don’t usually drink alcohol, but I drank a whole bottle of Spumante and fell asleep. I woke up went to the bathroom, wiped pretty hard and noticed I had opened a sore of something. This was two days ago. I have never had anything like this on my vagina. Could he have given me herpes ?  Also, how can I post a photo?

Hi Haley, from looking at your photo it does appear that you may have genital herpes. As said by sbbu15, please consult your doctor who can swab, test and treat your symptoms. All the best x

    Hi Haley,

I read your situation and took a look at your photos. So sorry you’re dealing with this. From looking at your pictures it does appear that you have genital herpes. They appear as pretty consistent ulcer legions like that of the herpes virus. I recommend you go to a doctor ASAP ask they can put you on antivirals and test you to find out what type you have.

Agree with above opinions. Based on your pictures and what you describe, it's possibly herpes. Both of you should consult with your doctor to test and treat it. Maybe you're worried about getting this STI, but try to think positively. Antiviral medications, such as Acyclovir, Valacyclovir or Prosurx can help to relieve herpes symptoms and prevent this virus from coming back. Additionally, it's very important to reduce stress and avoid triggers of herpes recurrences like weakenned immune system, hormaonal imbalance, poor diet and unhealthy lifestyle. Best wishes for you.
