Is this herpes?

Had unprotected sex with someone multiple times in one week. The sex was rough and we did it a few times in one night. This may be completly unreleated, but the guy i was having sex with would was his penis everytime we had sex with handsoap, then we would have sex again a bit later, not sure if this could have caused irratation. Immediately after the second time, everytime when I peed after, i felt burning in my urethra. over the next week i kept having UTI symptoms, burning when peeing, burning pain in my bladder (stomach) after finishing peeing. This went on for a couple of days. During this time I was also fighting a chest infection for a week/two, just started antibiotics around the same time as the UTI symptoms occurred. I then went on my period so didn't notice any changes in discharge etc, whilst on my period i was wearing pads and kept experiencing irratation on my labia. I also washed my vagina with fem fresh which i had never done before. Once my period finished I took a look down to see why I was experiencing discomfort and found these little red bloody spots around my vaginal opening. I was immeadietely concerned but couldn't see a DR in person due to not being at home, I ordered online acyclovir as I was scared this could be a herpes outbreak.

They took around a week to go away completely, didn't see any blisters forming/popping but did see this white patch inside the vaginal opening after about 3/4 days of taking the acyclovir. I was having this white discharge throughout the whole episode, once the sores healed I was still seeing discharge so I took an oral thrush pill and treated the outside of my vagina with external thrush ointment due to persistent itching. I am still experiencing itchiness around and inside the vagina, as well as occasional pains from my belly button to vagina, a burning feeling after peeing in my stomach too.

Has anyone got any ideas? Is this herpes? irritation from the sex and hygiene products? yeast infection from a course of antibiotics??

Hello.. Im hsv2 positive.Have been since 2017/2018.. my experience when I first contacted it I had flu like symptoms ,& 1 small lesion that I thought was just a cut at the time. But I definitely don't recall any burning and stomach/bladder pains.. If youve treated yourself for UTI and yeast infection already then it sounds like it could be a case of Chlamydia ? If your discharge is thin/watery like then id say gonorrhea

Hi, thank you for your reply. I haven't heard of people mentioning bladder pain as a symptom hence why i was confused. However, i can't think of any other explanations of the sores that appeared

whatever it is, it's starting again. my labia are red and swollen, experiencing some itching on the labia and internally too, cannot see any sores or lesions

Looking at the first two photos I was inclined to say that it looks like HSV. However, since it resolved quickly on its own - I don't think so. You should definitely monitor it and see if you get the sores again, especially if you don't have rough sex again.

Hi, I did start to take acyclovir but the sores from the first two pictures dissapeared at about day 2 of antivirals. I continued the course and an still having weird issues. Yesterday I developed a red blood/bruise looking like patch near my urethra, it doesn't hurt or anything. Didn't blister, has no white patch on it, i'm so confused!! will attach a photo but it will probably take time to approve, i have contacted my doctor too. I keep having abdominal pains and pain when urinating some times it's all such a mess

I see. Just to confirm, you haven't had rough sex recently, which could've caused this bruise?

I did have sex saturday night and sunday morning, noticed the bruise sunday night. Do you think it is a bruise from sex? it wasn't very rough but i had not been sexualky active for about a month and i am feeling quite sensitive down there

Unlike the sores on one of your first photos - this looks like bruise more than HSV.

thank you for your opinion. I will continue to monitor it and see if it changes in any way, so far it has stayed the same since yesterday evening. Do you think the previous sores were HSV? although they resolved within a few days?

They look like HSV, but I would be surprised to see them resolve so quickly.

Hi Velma! I would say the first two pictures do look like herpes. Though the single white spot makes me think of thrush. How soon did you begin taking the acyclovir? and how soon did they go away? also with the whole other array of symptoms you have, I have no idea.

I noticed the sores on sunday night, took acyclovir on tuesday morning. Sores were gone by thursday. I am so confused what is going on especially with the abdominal pains and now this red bruise thing going on.

Seems like the antiviral worked. You may have something bacterial or fungal going on too, if you can, make an appointment with a doctor. I know this cant be easy on you, or your body.

Thank you for your reply, i'm going to test for chlamydia and gnorrhea although I did come back negative for chlamydia last week. Also going to test for bv and uti.

No more sores have appeared but my vulva is just so uncomfortable, it feels like my pubic hair is more prickly, still feeling itchy around the vaginal opening and even my groin to be honest. So confused what is going on, the bruise is also still there and has not changed (not grown or anything)
