Hi vince. Obviously best to get diagnosed properly. A lot of the signs of herpes are constant throughout many stds. That said the main symptoms of herpes are itchyness, redness and blisters. Generally in one area of the genitalia. Difficulty urinating and sharp pains in the anus area are also very common. The blisters for herpes are very recognisable and usually take the form of little bubbles on the effected area. Hope this helps but I feel only a professional diagnosis will confirm the full extent of what is going on.

How likely is it that if it is heroes that an outbreak would occur near 5-6 months later wouldn't an initial outbreak happen within weeks after exposure ususally?

Some people have flu like before a brake out on, which side of the body its on, stinging type pain, some itches, as the blister pop's there is a lot of pain on the first out break after the first one the pain is not as bad, this last about three weeks valtracts taken with 48 hours of on set shortens the time, with all this said I think if it was herpes you would know it, hope this helps !

It could also be just a boil, oil glands can cause it, with the puss now more red I think its infected, glad you are going to get it checked out,  antibiotic cream or oral you need.
