Is this herpes?? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Posted , 12 users are following.

Long story short I had unprotected sex with someone I just met and am now experiencing sores on my genitalia. We had sex twice, on Sunday 12/6 and on Thursday 12/10 -- so it has been 4 days now since the last time we had sex.

I am so scared. I'm only 22 and feel like my life is over. I'm completely freaking out. I just contacted my doctor for an appointment but my mind is racing so any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the graphic pictures. I'm 90% sure this is herpes, but what do you think?? I'm experiencing no other pain, just the discomfort of the bumps when I wipe.

Just went to the doctor. she said it looks more like a staph infection to her but she took a sample to send to the lab. she put me on herpes medication just in case and prescribed an antibiotic ointment. praying my results come back negative. i will post an update once i know.

    TEST RESULTS UPDATE:

I just got my swab results back. I tested positive for HSV1 and negative for HSV2. I checked my patient portal for these results and I haven't talked to my doctor yet so I'm not sure what this means. If anyone has any knowledge on the difference please reply. I thought HSV1 was oral. Any information is very appreciated, thanks!
