I had unprotected sex a couple weeks ago. I thought i had a tear because it was burning so bad in the days after. yesterday i found ulcers and went to get tested. today my labia is really swollen and the sores feel hard, almost like small cysts. im terrified and dont know how to cope

I'm sorry to inform you but it does look like a classic outbreak. did the Dr swab the area for the most accurate way of testing. the best way is just educate yourself on the topic and know it'll get better in time. if the Dr didn't swab you may want to have an igG type specific test in about 12 weeks and see what you get.

any sores inside or only on the outside? When was your sexual encounter and when did the sores first appear? Have you had any other symptoms?

Does this look like herpes?? I had unprotected sex with a guy I have been having sex with for a few months now and these showed up about three days after. I did not realize it was so bad until this morning when I took this photo. I thought i cut myself shaving (which I cant do right now because of the cuts) but this seems way worse than that. I am scared to visit the doctor or talk to the guy about it.

Hey, I hope you're doing well. They do appear to be herpes blisters so I would definitely make an appointment to get confirmation. I would also speak to the guy you've been seeing, you have every right to know. If you're too scared or embarrassed to go to a normal GP, try a sexual health centre or planned parenthood. They seem to be much more understanding and can offer better advise (in my opinion). Wishing you all the best.
