Is this herpes?? Help I’m so stressed

earlier this week the inside if my vagina was itching so i treated it as a yeast infection. the itch went away but this morning i woke up with a "cut" like spot at the very bottom of my vagina. I only noticed the cut bc it stung when I pee'd. it doesnt sting to pee but when pee touches the cut the cut stings if that makes sense?? anyways, i called my gyno and they cant get me in until later I am freaking out that it might he herpes. i am for sure going to get tested when they can get me an appointment. a nurse is supposed to be calling me later today to discuss the problem. here is a picture what do you think???

Herpes can present itself in many forms. MANY many people have it and dont know they do because their breakouts were so minor that they didnt think anything of it.. I know it sucks and is scary, but good for you for checking it out.. This does not look like a classic/typical outbreak, but like I said most people dont get textbook style outbreaks.. Some ways to differentiate it is that a cut would heal a bit faster than a sore will, and if its herpes you might end up having more lesions appear over the course of a few days or until you start antivirals.. However, if it is herpes and this is the entirety of your outbreak, then you are one lucky lady. Your first would be the worst of any outbreaks you ever get. So if this is one, it might be your only one.. If they cant get you in for some time you might want to go to an urgent care if you can, if it heals over it might not give accurate results.

it is just the cut for now. it doesnt hurt, and the stinging when peeing has gone away, however my labia minor is still itching, like a yeast infection. I did have two ingrown hairs near my butt that i have pulled out that are very red and sore to touch, could that potentially be herpes as well??? my doctor cannot get me in until next Thursday and its very worrisome. I have neosporin in the cut, not sure if thats okay or not it seems to be helping it.

Yeah doctors and nurses arent very helpful with all the details and stuff, its because in reality herpes is usually just a skin condition and wont really harm you in anyway, and it is so common. But having been there, I understand that the worrying can usually be the worst part of it ... Its possible that the bumps are herpes but as of right now it doesnt really look like it. But monitor it, if its herpes it will likely open to raw skin at some point. Leave out any ointment or anything, if you dont already have a yeast infection it might give you one. Best to just keep the area clean with warm water and then avoid any moisture otherwise to promote drying wounds out.. Its good that the stinging has gone away already, that means it is healing quicker. And yes if you are worried and noticing bumps maybe its a good idea to go to urgent care. Waiting can be agonizing and they might be completely back to normal by thursday, and the doctors wont be able to see anything. Also id reccommend going soon because if they feel that it is a breakout they will give you medicine, which can prevent the worst of the pain it could potenitally bring..

Hard to tell from these dark grainy images but it doesn't look like much, has it changed over the past few days?

that is literally what it looks like in person lol. And they started out as bumps on Tuesday night and now they are gone for the most part.

i dont think they are herpes. They came and left rather fast for what would have been a first outbreak. sometimes other infections can cause bumps or discharge from infections can get in your pores and clog them expecially if you shave too. But yes defiently get the itching checked out! if you treated it for yeast and its still there it might be something else. Such as BV

here is a pic after i pulled the hair out, i have Neosporin on them so they look glossy but what do you think?? im going to try to go by the urgent care tomorrow if not then saturday to get a full STI test and get them swabbed, its really scaring me

you really shouldnt use neosporin down there. try bacitracin instead!

Herpes is unaffected by bacitracin as it is viral.
