Is this herpes? If not, what could it be?

i went to get examined twice and was told there was no need to be tested, that it was just irritation from a pad/underwear/etc. It keeps recurring every month to two months and its super itchy.. usually last for a few days each time. i've been going to planned parenthood to get it looked at, but should i go elsewhere to get a different opinion on if its herpes or not or am i overreacting? they just showed up this time and they're like a cluster of blisters right now. in the past, they popped and had a yellow tinted crust to them. they usually stay in this one spot as well - just trying to give out any info that might help. imageimage

image this is them this morning. Do you think i should go to a different doctor?

You should get them swabbed before they pop. Try to get in as soon as possible. I know it's scary, but better to find out for sure instead of worrying. Good luck.

thank you. i just scheduled an app for tomorrow through an actual OB. if planned parenthood failed to diagnose me properly because "it doesnt look like typical herpes", im going to be so p****d with them. my experience with them definetley seemed super unprofessional. i have some hair down there which i get can make it somewhat difficult to see whats going on, but the lady who checked it out didnt even look where i told her it was, even when i pointed it out.

the person im assuming gave it to me and i havent talked in almost half a year and we didnt leave off on a very good note.. should i bring it up to him if i do test positive? the thing that initially made me think it was herpes, after having blisters appear 2 days after we had sex, is he mentioned the lube we used made him have an "allergic reaction and we shouldnt use it again"...

also i have a 14 month old son.. can i still give him kisses when im having an outbreak if it isnt on my mouth or should i wait until im not having an outbreak?

    • Edited

if its not in your mouth you can most definitely still give him kisses! oral herpes and genital are different things so as long as its just on your genitals you should be more than okay!:)
