Is this herpes? Or something else

Hey guys, Ive been having this weird rash around my cheeks. At first if started off real raw and tender in the area, then it started as a small spot. It only hurts if I touch it but does not really itch a lot. Never has it blistered over so I am wondering what this might be? I move a lot at work and I sweat so I'm wondering if its just irritated from constant moving. I first noticed blood when I wipe, and I feel that it has gotten very irritated from the friction

These appear to be ulcers and look very much like Herpes. The red ring round the edge is typical of them. How long have you been getting them? When did they first appear?

I would get them swabbed. I really do think it's Herpes given the appearance. Friction could cause blisters but not ulcers like that.

Wow..I was really hoping that wasn't what it was. Ive been getting the cold sores on my mouth since I was a kid but since I have gotten older I can tell when an outbreak is coming and I know exactly what it looks like. Since it didn't blister over I didn't think that's what it was. That's devastating to hear, but I am going today to get it checked out

try not to worry. even if it is it's not a huge deal. its a skin condition. the stigma surrounding it really annoys me. the fact there is only 1 might suggest something else but if there was more than 1 I'd definitely be considering more Herpes than anything else. try not to worry either way. keep your chin up.

I went to the doctor Thursday and she did confirm that it is herpes. I am on an antibiotic to clear this up, I did get tested for other STIs as well as an HIV test. They were all negative so that is some good news. Thanks for your encouraging words.

I'm curious did she confirm with a swab of a sore or visual appearance?

she confirmed it with a visual, I still don't think it's herpes. it has gone away but lasted longer than a usual outbreak. I went back to the doctor and another doctor confirmed it could've been an infection of some sort and said to use Neosporin. It did help a lot, but left scarring.
