This escalated in a matter of a couple of days. not painful just itchy. i feel like hairs around it growing back are poking at it so it feels irritated. this is on my perinium and something similar happened to me back in january after i feel asleep in tight leggings and i had to pick the wedgie from my vagina when i woke up and it was super irritated and i got blisters in the EXACT SAME SPOT but that went away. I fell asleep again the other day in some tight shorts (like leggings) and woke up with the blisters and they have gotten worse. i did have unprotected sex with my boyfriend and put the shorts on after and fell asleep. i didnt use the rest room or fully clean up just used a wipe. Discharge is not smelly and when i clean them in the shower applying pressure does not bother its just if i gently wipe the top layer. Im scared af and i cant get in to see my dr bc of this covid. The pics are from the first a couple of days ago til today. please any pictures you may have of something similar and an explanation will help. Thank you in advance

Dear Ghoulie,
From your detailed description and the most recent photo you've posted, there's little doubt in my mind that you're experiencing recurrent genital herpes. Sounds like you may have had the problem at least since January and it's recurred recently, either after sex or after wearing tight shorts.
There's not much you can do right now, apart from avoiding sex and taking things easy (painkillers, rest, not wearing tight clothing etc). I would try, if possible, to get your doctor to confirm the diagnosis by getting them to take a herpes DNA swab when you have an outbreak (like now or in the future, maybe). Antiviral medication (aciclovir) is effective if given early during an outbreak (ideally within 24-48h) but can also be used to prevent outbreaks if taken every day. This would be something that you'll need to discuss with your doctor. It's also a good idea to discuss herpes with your partner once the diagnosis is certain.
Not everyone needs to take meds for herpes and the nature of the condition is that recurrences tend to become less frequent and less bothersome over time.
Check the CDC STD pages covering herpes (Google) for more information.

Adhari
