had sex and a few days later these painful sores appeared on my anus and 1 next to lip. no pus, slowly going away, pain when touched, no burning sensation. does this look like herpes, another std or irritation?

Did you also have oral or kiss? but yes it looks concerning. If the sores reappear I recommend to get swabbed or get an IGG blood test for type 1 and 2 in 3 months. Well wishes.
