Is this herpes?! PLEASE RESPOND IM SCARED

So I had sex with a new person about a week ago. I shaved prior to this as well. I was dry so there was a lot of friction and the sex was painful in one spot. The next day I noticed a bump that did not appear to have any pus inside at all. It just looked like raised skin bump that hurt to the touch. It hurt when my underwear would rub against it so I checked it again and there was an open sore that still did not appear to have any pus inside, nor did I notice any pus in my underwear or anything. It has been there for about a week. I am hoping it is either a friction burn or an ingrown hair. I went to go get tested today, and the sore was starting to scab over. My doctor said it looks like it could possibly be a herpes outbreak healing, but because of the location, he would lean more toward an ingrown hair. I dont know when ill get my results back and this is all ive been able to think about. Please help, let me know what you think.image

Also I read that you can feel pain in your legs, I have a pain in my leg by my knee but it feels like a bruise that I don't remember getting. I also don't get my period because of my birth control but I am having period like cramps. Is this normal?

Herpes doesnt just sit around. it changes rapidly from bump to blister to ulcer sore to scab quickly. Also, it doesn't show up the next day. that is too soon unless you had a prior infection.

Also, pain in the legs goes with recurrent infections not primary ones.

If you got a blood test it will show your prior status not your current because it takes time to develop antibodies and you have not had enough time from this exposure.

Trust your Dr but I believe you are going to be OK
