Is this labyrinthitis?

three weeks ago I woke up and experienced nausea, repeated vomiting, and violent vertigo. On a scale of 10 it was a 10. The next two weeks would be just as bad. I managed to go about some of my normal life activities but the vertigo and unsteadiness would strike out of nowhere. After a trip to the ER they told me it was peripheral vertigo. Then the ENT said it appeared to be meniere’s. Through my own research I was really thinking it was labyrinthitis. Everything I read about labyrinthitis suggested so. The ENT said it couldn’t be lab because my vertigo would come and go. But from everything I read that’s exactly how lab reacts. It’s been a little over three weeks now since that awful first day and I am feeling much better. I still get an unsteadiness about my walk or a quick burst of vertigo if I look down too quickly, but I’ve been able to go to the gym and lift weights again and exercise relatively hard. Lab is suppose to steadily improve week by week which I have been. ENT ordered an mri too, but I am still surprised that he was so quick to rule out lab even though the symptoms are spot on. I had a bad case of the flu about three weeks prior and the week leading up to the first vertigo attack I had intense ringing in the ear accompanied by a muffled roaring fullness. I’ve had tinnitus for over a decade but it was never debilitating. In fact, if my diet is clean and low in sodium improves dramatically

From Ive read on lab I agree it sounds like it. Ive been dealing with vestibular neuritis over a year now which is related to lab. These vestibular issues are the worst I know. Physical therapy has helped me. Ruling out the worst also helps. Good you recognize triggers. Its frustrating many doctors dont know how to treat this. Hope you find answers. Best advice is enjoy the good days and rest on the bad ones. It gets better. Unfortunately everyone recovers at their own pace. I find low sodium, lots of water and a full nights sleep are very helpful. Good luck!

did you check for gallstones or low functioning gallbladder as you have vomit and nausea? if not, please goahead and check i see these symptoms might be due to that.
