Is this lichen sclerosus or something else?

Posted , 4 users are following.

This came out a year and a half ago. I visited two dermatologists, one said that it was lichen, the second that it was vitiligo.

It does not itch and, in principle, does not cause discomfort, but I would like to get rid of it.

I smeared with clobetasol and betamethasone - there is no effect, it does not react.

I plan to complete the course of clobetasol/betamethasone and switch to tacrolimus.

But still, what is it? lichen or something else?!

Hi Denys I'd say it's more likely to be lichen sclerosus continue with the steroid cream and see how it goes. Are you circumcised? If not you may need to consider having it done.

    Hi

Looks like lichen sclerosus, if you can, you have to get a circumcision as soon as you can and do also a biopsy of the removed foreskin.

To the doctor that said you have vitiligo, call him and tell him to change his job, if you can, report him.

These conditions are serious and its not possible to dismiss it with wrong diagnosis.

I repeat, go for a circumcision and ask for a biopsy of the removed foreskin to be sure about the diagnosis.
