Is this lymphoma ?

Hello, so I am 18 years old, very anxious about my health, but I am quite concerned now. About month and a half ago I developed weird bone pain and thought I had leukemia, I had 3 clear blood tests, but about a month ago I became quite tired (I started working out harder, playing actively football again, was very stressed and I sleep like 6-7 hours), maybe my anxiety is just causing the tiredness. The tiredness still persits, It does not get worse, sometimes is better. It is more of a mental one, like I feel sleepy, but I can still push throught workouts and football, and I did not loose any weakness in muscles or my stamina. I automatically thought it could be lymphoma when I got leukemia ruled out with my blood tests, the thing that was keeping me away from lymphoma was the fact, that I thought I have no swollen lymph nodes. Well, yerstreday i had pain in my shoulder and trap muscle, probably from working out, but when touching it I could feel a lump (it is the posterior cervical area). I immidietaly panicked and started feeling the other side too. I can feel the lump there also but a bit higher and not as deep. I also started feeling my groins for lymph nodes because I have few palpable ones too.

I did research and started measuring them. I am quite confused, because in the long axes the one I felt first on the right side is shorter than 1 cm, but the one on the left side is about 1 cm in lenght. But this is the long axis, the short-axis a a lot smaller, like 0,5 cm. The one that worries me the most in the one in the groin. I always had palpalble lymph nodes there, I remember touching them and thinking it was hernia as a kid. There is one lymph node that is long about 1,5 cm, but once again the short-axis it is probably even under 0.5 cm. I wonder, are these lymph nodes normal or enlarged ? I always had some palpable lymphnodes around my body, but I never cared about the size.

I also developed a cold and a sore throat about 3 weeks ago, it went aways for a bit, but came back a week ago and I still have it a bit. It is not sever a bit, the throat is midly sore and my nose is just a bit runny. I wonder, if this could be lymphoma or not ?

ADDED: Just went to a doctor, he said he could not feel anything, I am confused...

    Hi JaroslavSSV.

From what you've said I think its unlikely to be Lymphoma and is instead probably physiological lymphadenopathy. Many people experience tiredness and im afraid medical science at its current level cant yet provide an answer as to why in most cases.

If you are still worried - of course go back to see your GP and show him where you can feel your lymph nodes (groin ones are usually easier to feel than cervical). Or if you start losing weight unexpectedly or experiencing excessive sweating or night sweats again go back and see your GP.

I hope you're feeling better soon. smile

Well, I was quite worried when I visited him and he examined the places more than once and was certain they are not swollen. The lenght in my groin worries me. At first I was mesuring it and I was getting under 1,5 cm long axis, which is good, but now I get over 1,5. So I have either measured in wrong in the beginning or it irritated it and made it swollen. I should probably go by his words that it was not swollen during my appointment.

Hi jeroslav55v: I think you could have swollen lymph nodes from a cold, and it may be easy for a doctor to diagnose. You shd definitely see your doctor because you are going to worry too much if you do not. If you had Lymphoma, it wd probably show up in a blood test. You say you get 6 or 7 hours of sleep. That is not enough sleep if you are playing football and working out. No wonder you are sleepy.  Please see your doctor. Best wishes,

I went to the doctor and he said they are not swollen, so I dont know if I should go by his words or request a CT scan. The lymph node in my groin worries me, he was 100% certain it is not swollen. I was measuring it and I usually got under 1,5 cm which is good, but now, I seem to get more, so I have either measured it wrong in the beginning or I have irritated it. The thing is, it is like 0,4 on the short axis, and most of the sites use short axis for meausrement, by my lymph node seems very long. On the other hand, I might be touching a vein not a node :D. Thank you for answer.
