Yes gas does make sharp pain in stomach. So it's what you ate that caused the pain. .You don't have a gallbladder so you should not be eating unhealthy. I still get aches and pains when I stray from a healthy diet. I'd rather eat right than suffer. So should you friend. I know it's very hard but feeling well is my goal. Feel Better.

Yes, go to your Doctor and ask them to do a cat scan of your abdomen. I also have gerd, reflux, IBS, spastic colon & more. I was told it was one of these flairing up when in fact I also had gall stones. And they did not do a cat scan to find this out. After 2 years of bad pains I decided to go to the Emergency room and thank GOD the ER Doctor ordered a cat scan & sure enough I'd had gall stones all along & a severe blockage. 12 hours later they operated to remove my gall bladder. The ER Doctor said it was a good thing I'd come in when I did, because it could have caused much bigger problems. Symptoms were: Right side & front right side abdomen pain,(right below rib cage), and pains into my back, (from extreme pains in my gall bladder), Gas,( especially after eating fatty or spicy foods), bloating, diarrhea, & some nausea. Best Wishes to you.

Yes, those other GI issues cause pains, bloating, gas, but not pains in the right side, right abdomen & right back areas. And in order to find this out for sure, your GI Doctor must order a cat scan to find out if it is indeed your gall bladder. I would not wait on this, and believe that its one of the other GI issues, because if you get an infection in your gall bladder it can be extremely dangerous & even fatal, as is was for my Uncle. If you have pains and your GI Doctor can't get you in soon, do what I did & go to the hospital emergency room, and as you talk with the Doctor ask ,(if he doesn't offer), to give you a cat scan to see if it is your gall bladder. All Doctors, GI Specialist, My Primary Doctor & Emergency room Doctors did not do a cat scan, each time i went in with these same pains, I believe because they thought these pains were from my preexisting GI diseases. It took 2 years of suffering before the last ER visit where a thorough Doctor said he wanted to do a cat scan so he could actually see what the problem was? And after the cat scan he said it was a good thing that I came in when I did, or it could have been much worse for me. 12 hours later I was in surgery to have my gall bladder removed. Best wishes.
