I am 24 and I have this stubborn red bumps like something on my penis head for almost 6 months. This started after a week having unprotected sex for the first time. At the beginning there was extremely dry foreskin, easily Peeled off skin, burning sensation and slight bleeding occurred. I used to wash with soap. After i have learned to keep the foreskin and penis head dry, all the symptoms has vanished quickly but the red bumps is stubborn for the last 6 months. I am Uncircumsized and i use soap to wash. there is no itching or burning sensation now but persistent red bumps. Do i need to get tested? I am worried. please help.

    Stop using soap right away.

Use only plain lukewarm water in a mug with a pinch of salt to wash your penis. Do it daily.

Once in a week, you may use baby soap and water to wash your penis.

It doesn't look serious to me. But still if you are doubtful about STDs, then get tested and flush the stress out of your mind.

Chances of getting a fungal or bacterial infection is more likely than getting STDs.

So giving a try to some antifungals or antibiotic creams isn't a bad idea either.

Did you check with any dermatologist?

I haven't checked with any dermatologist. I was hoping the problem would get solved on it's own.

I have used clotrimazole for a week. It was not effective. I will give a try with the anti bacterial cream.
