Oh poor you! We've all be there. I'm sorry to say the pain you describe is a normal part of the freezing stage. It is completely incapacitating and seems to go on forever. Good luck with the MUA. xx

Thank you, Your message really helped, I have read up & watched videos etc.. But no one seemed to describe how the pain felt.. It's so getting me down, a simple movement will physically make me feel sick & I'm just not the bubbly person I used to be... Thank you once again, I will let u know how I get on x

Hi, sorry to hear you have joined the FS club. I had a fall a year ago which ended with a frozen shoulder. The knife like pain is still with me and often unbearable. So far only had injections into the jount and tried physio without success from either but I'm back to the specialist in a week so I am hoping for something new. I have also been of work now for quiet awhile. It is a long painful journey.

I had hydrodilation 2 weeks ago and the pain went. It is still very stiff but with physio and a lot of exercises it is very slowly getting better. I can now drive again and hang out washing.

I'm sorry but I have to smile reading the replies, bet we've cheered you right up ;-) . Suffice to say it doesn't last forever even though it sometimes seems like it. Chin up and all the best. xx

mymaude -  thankfully you can start to really smile now wink - you are on the mend Hurrah but you are right, if it wasn't so serious it could be quite funny at times and thank goodness most of us are just about hanging on to a sense of humour!  because there are so many discussions running on this subject I am getting confused and trying to analyse who has had what, when where and did it work.  lots of experts have written papers on the subject and often contradicting one another in both causation and treatment so think we should write our own having experienced it first hand.  Since I have had this and it has deteriorated I have had to stop driving (be aware of new drug driving rules too) and can't do anything I used to and fed up seeing my very able bodied partner disappear every five minutes on extreme sport activities - he thinks it makes me feel better when I see his recent GoPro footage of scuba diving in Eygypt, 10 mile hikes along the cliff tops, kayaking and now he is off on a long weekend camping and diving - a way of including me he says lol NOT.  I can't even sew anymore or hold a book because I have fluid in my wrist, apparently a likely consequence of the shoulder problems.  Thought I would garden gently one handed while on a double dose of opiates to get some relief, wasp flew past me forgot and I flicked it automatically with bad arm OMIGOD collapsed in a squirming squeaking heap on the ground trying to breathe deeply as if giving birth until what seemed like an eternity passed and I could crawl back inside. My new neighbours must think I am barmy smile  I spent last summer in a sweaty neck brace 24/7 mending a broken neck thinking at least next summer I will be better and can enjoy it, hell no - whoever dictates destiny had a different plan for me!  Trying to keep the rest of the body from turning into a jelly mould is a challenge when all activity has stopped, someone said hydrotherapy pool is good but some distance away and not easy to get to but if you can then a good idea to try and keep everything else moving.  keep strong xx
