Is this part of an anxiety symptom?

I know anxiety can cause so many symptoms in the world that you can't even imagine or believe that anxiety is responsible for your symptoms, but is it possible that anxiety can cause neck pain? I know it can cause like neck tension in the back, but never heard anyone say they felt it just randomly anywhere and it also makes my throat feel so tight like I'm suffocating. Does anyone get this feeling? And if so, how do you deal with this symptom? Any tips? I'm so tired of dealing with anxiety symptoms everyday. I'm afraid to take medication for it since the side effects, so I'm trying to get rid of it on my own, even if may take some time, but I'm slowly trying my best to overcome it.

anxiety can cause muscle tension anywhere in the body. It can cause pain in the neck or anywhere else. it can also make your throat feel tight because it tightens the muscles around the throat. I have had this many times.

What do you need to do is first of all breathe properly when you have anxiety. It will relax your body. I also do body scans that completely relax every muscle in the body. You can find these meditations on YouTube for body scan and anxiety. Learn proper breathing also on YouTube you can search for mindfulness breathing meditation. anything that relaxes your mind is going to help. for immediate relief you can apply a little bit of heat to loosen the muscles. massage also helps as well as steam from the shower. find ways to reduce your anxiety. Maybe speak with a counselor. Take care , Feel better!

yes!! i have this I am quite sure. Do you feel like you use a lot of effort to breathe, and your breath gets stuck in your throat? Trying to get a deep breath I have strained a lot of neck and back muscles. My neck and upper back feel very tight. My throat feels tight too, and I think that contributes to my breathing problems. I am currently starting CBT, and also booked a massage appointment for my neck and upper back. I also do yoga. Hopefully relaxing these muscles help with the breathing problem.
