So Im turning 47 in october and for about the last two years I have been seing my doctor for increase in symptoms that dont make sence. I have had a partial historectomy but kept my overies so no periods. It started a few years ago when my hair started falling out then I developed migraines that i had never had before. The next year I had the continued hair falling out and migrains but then it was shortly followed by bouts of feeling dizzy a few days at a time. Then came the stomach problems recently. I have started having nausea and an uncomfortable dull ache in my stomach. This is accompanied by reflux and feeling like it takes all day or all night for food to digest. My doctor checked my hormones about a year ago and said they were all in normal range but I fell like I have gone very downhill since then. Along with the dizziness, migrains, nausea, and stomach discomfort i have occassional hot flashes, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, ringing in my ears sometimes, breast pain, nipple tenderness, alternating constipation and loose movements, new allergies, gallbladder symptoms even though Ive had it removed, occassional cardiac issues that dont corrispond with a cardiac problem, and chills. My newest and scarriest concern right now is the stomach problems. They started a few weeks ago now and im nausious all the time and the reflux along with feeling like food is not moving along and that gross not quite painful but very uncompfortable feeling in my stomach with burping has got me really worried. I just took a nausea pill witha few swallows of milk and I feel bloated and burping. I have had so many tests over the last few years with having my gallbladder out and I really am hoping that this sounds familiar to some of you ladies so I can relax about it a little while waiting to get in with my doctor again. (who by the way thinks im over reacting). Thank you in advance.

I'm sorry to hear this... I too have experienced the dizziness and 'foggy' feeling. My self confidence is very low.. Yes one thing after another.. it's sad. I'm trying to eat healthier and swim even though I don't feel like it. Often I just blah.. My sister had terrable migraine headaches and as soon as she started using a cream, they went away.

I have had or still have all these symptoms in the past 5 years. I am 47. Things started for me just after 40. The stomach issues...boy do i know about those! They kept me tied to the house for four years. I would feel like i had to run fast to the bathroom constantly. Never knew if it was going to be constipation or diarhea on any given day. Just the movement of a vehicle would cause my stomach to start acting up.
Along with it came many food sensitivities. I couldn't eat potatoes for 2 years...then suddenly I could again. These days I have what I call a nervous stomach. As soon as I am uncomfortable in a situation I feel like I better find a bathroom...but usually cannot void. It's crazy.
I get times where I will have headaches for a week, sore muscles and joints for a week...crashing fatigue...the list of symptoms goes on. It is definitely not the best time of my life, considering that up until 5 years ago I was very healthy and active, full of zest and energy. Now I have a hard time with most things. Definitely low energy most days...it sucks!
But apparently this is just a cacoon we are in for a season....apparently we will come out the other end of all this a new woman. I sure hope so! lol!
Don't worry too much through it all...it waxes and wanes like the moon it seems.
Enjoy the things you can and don't worry too much about the rest...you will be a beautiful butterfly in the end

Indifferent and lorin2362,
I could have written both of your posts, we sound like we are going through the same things. Stomach issues? Holy man, could I tell you stories! Gas, bloating, diarrhea that has me running to the bathroom, constipation that has me wondering if I am ever going to go again, did I already say gas? Lol, the kind that you are in a meeting and are squeezing to hold it in (sorry if it's TMI). Low energy, bouts of depression, health anxiety, feelings of doom, heart palps, tinnitus, the list could go on forever. Thank you to everyone that posts honestly what they are going through, it supports all of us out here that feel like we are losing our minds.

Hi Lorin, I've had everything, even had my gallbladder out too! Thought I was dying so many times. Worse year of my entire life has been this year. Looking back through the last 5 years I had many other things leading up to the complete breakdown, like a year of diahrrea, headaches (which led to chronic gastritis from taking too much NSAIDs), fatigue, and so on.. The peri also brought back old demons like EBV and maybe Lyme Disease. Hard to know what's what. Also the health anxiety that went along with it, well, when you look up anxiety every one of our symptoms is listed there. I think when I finally found out I had reactived EBV along with peri, it helped me to know that I'm not dying of some undiagnosed disease and is easing the anxiety a bit. It's been a rough year, have seen more than 10 specialists, every MRI, xray, ct scan, bloodtest. You aren't alone is this! I just hope we canall get though to the other side soon.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I just feel sicker all the time. I have begun refering to this time as "the dark years". It seems like I cant get past one health issue before anothier one begins to plague me. I did have basil cell cancer on my face just two months back and the repair after removal was very hard on me and now every little pain or lump is the big C im just sure of it. Every little thing sets me off that this time im going to die. Gahhhhh! I hate it!

Hi Lorin,
I go to lay down at night and have to sit back up. Nauseasness is unbelievable. Ginger helps me. Sometimes nothing helps. It can take up to an hour at night up and down, up and down. I'll eat breakfast and all day I suffer....
I've been to the ER twice this year thinking I was having a heart attack only to be told it's acid reflux or a muscle spasm.
Ringing in my ears, sore muscles, restless legs at night, so dizzy I want to sink to the ground and crawl.
I'm 51 and had a hysterectomy almost 2 years ago. Dizziness started about 6 years ago. Anxiety is off the charts.
I believe after being on here that I will live😉although at times I too feel like I have some horrible disease and am dying...

Hi, lorin. I'm sorry your experiencing
all these symptoms. Your symptoms sound all to familiar. Like you, Doc also checked my hormones but came back normal. I've been going through a wide range of symptoms that started as vertigo last year I was 43. From there hair loss painful head pressure headaches. Eventually vertigo cleared up, but continued to have what i describe as "off feeling" as if I'm about to faint. Scary happens when I'm out in public. Mild hot flashes, anxiety, insomnia. My blood work comes out normal, but scheduled for MRI. Due to feeling as though I could not walk. Anyhow, I don't know if I'm going through perimenopause, but it sure as heck feels like it? Wondering if any of you ladies can relate to the faint feeling like you want to pass out? Thanks for your time.

Sasical72, so sorry for the late response. I just noticed the notification. Since I last posted I'm doing much better. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and now properly medicated. Plus if im correct, I was also experiencing perimenopausal symptoms. Probably why I felt so terrible. Currently struggling with perimenopausal symptoms, more than anything. How are you feeling sasical72?

Still really bad. Had an appointment with an endocrinologist, she asked for some bloodwork, results next week.
I'm so glad to hear that you are better!
