Is this sinusitis?

Hi all, my symptoms started about 5 months ago and i am still trying to figure out what is going on and if it could be sinusitis.

Here are my symptoms:

Post nasal drip (mainly in mornings)

Sore throat (worse in mornings)

Blocked nose that looks swollen/congested inside

Occasional ear pain

I don't get any facial pain what so ever, none near my nose/eyebrows etc, so wondered if anyone who's suffering still thinks this could be sinusitis? Or any other guesses as to what it could be.

Thanks

your symptoms could be partially linked to acid reflux. do you exoerience a burning sensation in your chest in the morning, or after eating? i would make an alpointndt to see an ENT and get scoped. they will be sble to tell you if it is sinus vs acid reflux vs whatever else it could be. (allergies etc). feel better!

It could well be sinus issue or a type of rhinitis, non-allergic as well . As noted it could also be other things.

I could have written what you did as those symptoms generally mirrored my own.

In the five months you have had this condition what have you done in terms of seeing doctors or specialists, for a diagnosis.?

I have seen two different ENT specialist as well as a gastroenterologist.

I am about three weeks post FESS.

But to get there medical tests have to be done to determine the cause for your symptoms.

    Best wishes to you.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen two doctors who have said they think it's sinus issues. I am being referred to an ENT but in the mean time my doctor has given me amoxicillin to see if it helps, however i haven't started to take this yet as im not sure its necessary considering i dont have any facial pain? .

I haven't replied directly here as I noted that you have started another thread asking that question, so I replied there 😃

    Hope that is ok.
