Is this the start of a cold sore?

I've never had a cold sore before in my life. I am a bit of a hypochondriac and expect the worst possible case.

I messaged my cousin who does get cold sores, and she doesn't believe this is one but I'm still freaking out anyway.

I didn't notice anything until my drive to work. I brushed my teeth and did my make up, ate breakfast and left for work without even noticing.

I tend to pick at the skin on my lips with my teeth, so this could very well be that but I don't know. It's sore when I touch it with my teeth but it doesn't hurt otherwise - no tingling.

My lips are always pretty chapped and admittedly I don't put anything on them. I was out in the cold late last night, so that could have made it worse and caused my lip to split overnight?

It doesn't have a blister-like appearance entirely.

Below is a photo of my lips today. Please let me know what you think.
