Is this yeast infection or herpes?

I've never experienced any type of visible "symptoms" of genital herpes but I've been messing around with this guy and today I was randomly really itchy so I went to check and saw my skin inflamed and red and one side was swollen (I was itching). I thought I had a yeast infection but I'm second guessing.

Hi, I would recommend seeing a doctor and getting tested to relieve some of your worries. Whenever I "mess around" with a new partner (with or without condoms) I ALWAYS get either a yeast infection or BV. My doctor explained it as basically introducing new bacteria to the area and it starts to "freak out" hence the infection. I had a yeast infection & BV at the same time and it itched soo bad I had to ice it because it burned! The area looks so swollen because youve been itching it? It also looks like you got some fissures?

I’m definitely going to get tested, I’m just such a hypochondriac so I wanted some clarity quicker than I could get in since I couldn’t go today. I made him wear one the first time and then the second time he just didn’t and I was drunk so I didn’t say anything which I want to cry now for. Yeah it itched so bad and I couldn’t help it. I got waxed a week ago and she tore skin by my labia so it’s already sensitive and made it raw. Also with the swelling, it had gone down by the time I took this picture but it swelled (from what I’m assuming was me itching) but I could be wrong. I don’t know I’m just so freaked out

hard to tell if those are your glands or a small outbreak. yeast infection can also cause an outbreak. make an appointment if you are feeling symptoms

It's so hard to tell, they basically all have the same symptoms 😕 but definitely making an appointment. Thank you 😃
