It is back

So after a period of sleeping ok-ish, the insomnia has returned.
It is pretty awful, once more I am lying worrying about the time, why I am not asleep. I have felt very depressed and anxious lately and this is making it worse. I wish I could relax. I am not sure what to do. Should I go to the doctors?
I have a counselling appointment next Tuesday so will be raising the issue then, but for now, I just feel drained, anxious and unable to concentrate fully in the day time. I wish I knew what was wrong with me…

Hi Philip, Sorry to hear that. Have you had CBT? I hear that is good.
Have you found anything beneficial? For example, do some things work slightly better than others?
What did the doc say when you went?

Hi Phil, it is a form of therapy, I believe it is commonly used for a range of mental health conditions including sleep disorders. You can get it on NHS, though often a long wait, or go privately: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/cognitive-behavioural-therapy-cbt/
