Guys, when it comes to the liver, unfortunately, it's one of those organs which does not give very obvious, painful signs that is is deterirating until it get to a cetain stage. It's absolutely vital to take your liver seriously and if there is anything wrong, see the doctor and ger treatment. I did not understand this for a very long time and it almost killed me. I have started a blog on my story with liver disease. If anyone is interested please visit my blog www.getwellsoon.pl[/b] [/b]
One very important thing is not think that liver cirrhosis is a death sentence. It is not, it does mean that you have to totally re-evaluate your life and your habits, but it is possible to live life to the fullest with that problem.

For example, last 4 days in Poland we had Easter celebrations and during Easter we basically scoff down great amounts of food and it's a mixture of meat, fish, salad, sweets etc. I, of course, try to be as moderate as possible when it comes to food, so I don't eat too much but still the fact that it is such a mix, and my stomach is used to a rather nutritious, but monotonous diet, means that I now have itching again (everywhere) and I feel that feeling of being down and feeling a bit like I have the flu (but without the muscle aches). I spoke to my specialist a while back and asked him to explain why this happens if I do not eat as usual. He told me that it's a simple case of my body being loaded with toxins from the protein which my liver is unable to deal with and other crap that it has not been able to clean out of my system. I now have to fast for at least 15 hours of every 24 hours and during this time drink herbs and water to help my body get rid of the toxins as soon as possible. I hate this state as sometimes it leads to brain fog and that feeling of depression which I simply cannot stand. Another thing I do when this happens (it does not happen often but for God's sake I am only human and sometimes I do have some of my appetite back and I do eat a little too much for my own good) I have been told to do light exercise. Yep, exercise. I do pool areobics. It's great because it gives you that metabolic boost, yet does not tire out the muscles too much. As we have musce wastage it is not advisable for us to do strenous exercise. But areobic light exercise is 100% O.K. I have been told.
Sorry to break my posts so much but work and other stuff mean I sometimes do not have time to say everything I would like to in one go

Liver problems are the body's signal to change food.
