It's back

After writing about an improvement a few weeks ago,by drinking hemp milk

My GA has flared up again with a vengeance so sadly it was a very short term

Improvement.it looks worse now .I have been very stressed so that may be why

It's gone worse.

It's spread to my knees now, whereas it was on my thighs and top of legs

I'm going to start trying bio oil to see if it fades the redness.

I didn't realize just how many people have this condition until I found this site

I am sorry to hear your hopes were dashed.  I have had so many times I was hopeful but something inside of us is the culprit.  I am currently vacationing in a very sunny area which I have read is helpful to helping to clearing up the rash.  I do not expose my skin to sun so it will be interesting to see if these 2 weeks will make a difference.

Hi Carol I am so sorry to hear that it has gotten worse . I know how you feel my GA had been up and down for over three years now. I have it all over my body. And I have the kind that itches. But I am finally seeing some results after being on extremely clean diet. It's has been since March no sugar, dairy, gluten, sugar,or artificial sugars. I wore short sleeves for the first time in three years. I still have all on my legs but they are not as red. I have try lots of things including methodraxate. But I decided to give diet I try. It's seems to be working. Good like and let's keep giving any information that may help.

Hi  I know exactly what its like because mine started on the back of my arm and got bigger and bigger and then spread all over both arms and legs and all over my body. My doctor and Dermatologist that I saw just prescibed steroid creams which didnt help and told me there was no cure. I went to see an alternative health specialist who told me to take Karela & Neem extract tablets and to avoid wheat sugar and certain other foods and after a short while it all faded. I take one in morning and one in evening if I forget to take them it starts to reappear but goes away again very quickly once I take another tablet.  Hope this helps because I had this for ages and searched dozens of websites and nothing I read gave me any hope of this going away until now.

Thank you Carole for that information. I am going to purchase that. I actually seen that last week not sure if you posted it. But I wrote it down and plan on going to my health food store to buy. I also like you tried steroid creams, methodraxate, and just giving up gluten but nothing really worked . Until I totally cleaned up my diet. I hope that extract gets rid of the rest. Thanks again

Make sure you get the brand Hesh if you have any problem I can let you know where I get if from and they also sell it online. I'm also convinced that certa\in foods trigger it off but its all trial and error. When this all first startd spreading the consultant I was under said that sometimes freezing the area can help, however the only bits that have not cleared up completeley are the areas that she froze.Good luck and I hope it works as well for you but you will have to persevere before you see the difference.

Thank you Carole I am hoping it works . How long did it take for you to see a difference? If you could let me know where to buy online that would be great.

It was quite gradual,  at first it seemed to  dissapear and then came back after a couple of hours and then faded until it just dissapeared for longer until it was all gone. I know that if I eat something I shouldnt it starts to show under the surface of skin nothing like as bad as it was. It was really bad. Reading what everyone else has to say its remarkable that we all have similar symptoms including leg cramps which can be unbearably painful. Defintely related to diet in as much as the body ceases to be able to tolerate certain foods that have been eaten in the past. I have had to give up on sugar totally and also chocolate, cakes and biscuits.

I looked up Karela & Neem and everything says it is good for diabetics. Are you diabetic?

My dermatologist has asked me if I am, and I don't think so. I'm 5'2" and 108.

But this has helped GA for you?

And found some of the comments here very interesting and need to glean as much info as I can on GA. I have it on my leg and torso. I am having to deal with a lot of stressful situations in my life at the moment and wonder if this could be the cause? Although the Dr told me that GA is not caused by stress. I'm 64, had an early menopause at 47 due to having my overies removed, am generally fit and healthy. My blood tests came back normal showing no problems with glucose, kidney, liver function and autoimmune. Have been given a steriod cream to apply for next 6 weeks. Not sure where to start....

Hi I also had all the tests which came back normal and then given steroid creams but they did not help. It started up in one area and gradually got bigger and bigger and then it started to spread at an alarming rate all over. Everyday I would discover another area where it had spread to and I was determined to find a cure. If you have read my previous message you will know that I take  Karela & Neem extract tablets which have helped get rid of it. I can't say that it has cured it because if I forget to take them it starts to reappear but goes away again very quickly and until I find another way I am happy to keep taking them.
