I had a partial tear in my labrum and rotator cuff. I got surgery on June 28/17. I was in an immobilizer for seven weeks, The first month after my surgery I was in so much pain! was always burning inside constantly. ( especially being in any kind of vehicle if there was any sort of bumps that was the most pain ever and even still been in vehicles that's what hurts the most)I was putting ice on it all the time to keep the swelling down a bit and I couldn't even move my arm much at all.. I started physio 5 weeks after surgery. Anyway now it's been 11 weeks and I have the motion somewhat  back, but the pain hasn't really been any less, it's always aching .. it's still way worse than before I got the surgery they say the healing process is different for everyone and can be anywhere for 6 weeks to 6 months

It is going to be a  long bumpy ride.  I felt the same way as you do, still do a bit.  I am almost 4 months and had no idea what to expect.  My doctors fault.   Anyway, I can tell you that my PT told me that you don't begin to start recovery until your out of the immobilizer.  So your first day of real recovery was at 6 weeks.  After that it's slowly learning how to bend things and at 3 months they will start with strenghthening.  You are barely starting.  Give your self time, Ice it, take meds if you need them.   For me the whole experience was frustrating and tearful, until I finally realized that yes, it it going to be at least 6 months.   If you have any questions along the way,I would be more than happy to try to help.   Oh and both my arms are aching also.   Could be just hanging down or you over did something,   Sorry for the book,   lol
