I usually have white stuff as well, but this is how it looks after cleaning it. This white thing doesnt go away and I clean my penis almost every day.

Should I see a dermatologist or do you think I can get rid of it by myself?

Please im tired of this white stuff. Its smelly and it makes me unconfortable.

    hi johnsmith

unfortunately being a man with a foreskin

you have to wash beneath the foreskin every day

you only need to use warm water no soap to keep it clean

the white stuff is called smegma

harmless unless you let it build up

then it will start to smell and could start an infection

you could try a mild steroid cream just on the white patch for a couple of days

I see! I will stop using shower gel and clean it only with water to see if the tip of my penis will get more hydrated! Thank you for you reply btw

Hi John it's normal for an uncircumcised guy to have smegma you need to wash everyday with just warm water when havinga shower and you use shower gels make sure to wash it off you glans completely.

Your glans do look a little irritated so you could have a fungal infection and if there are any white coloured patches on the skin you should get it checked with your doctor.

There is no white coloured patches fortunately! I've always thought smegma was normal but the smell is really unpleaseant. I normally wash it with shower gel. Should I only use water to try to not irritate the skin?

      Thank you btw

That's great you have no white coloured skin the tip of the glans do look a little unusual! you may have a skin infection balanitis or fungal it might be worth having it check.

For now maybe just warm water you could use a emollient wash the odour can be quite strong I suspect you have an imbalance in the natural Flora. I know smegma is oil-based so using a mild soap would help to remove it but it can irritate the skin. Hope this helps 🙂

Use a mild soap ( no shower gel) and water once or twice a week.

On other days wash it with plain warm water.

Once a week lubricate with coconut oil.

If no improvement, see a urologist.
