Hi  well done you will have got rid of that awful pain and you are already on the mend.  Some advice rest, elevate your leg and if it is swollen or aches use ice (wrapped in cloth so you dont get frostbite) this does help.

I had just an ache after my op, I send you best wishes Co Durham.

Good news - hope you have a good recovery - remember there will be ups and downs in how you feel with a general up trend - and don't overdo it!

Welcome back Mark ... exciting isn't it -- Hopefully you will have a good night sleep - it might be a bit challenging in the hospital snd all that, but the only thought I had then was : it is done .... and when you have pain, tell them ...

big hug and see you soon

Yes trying to catch a few hours sleep where I can - difficult with all the hustle and bustle along with the calf pumps droning on

Looking forward to the physio in morning so I can start to move about - have aches in lower back due to laying in one place for the last 16 hours.

Morning Mark, welcome to Hippy Land smile now your on your way back to living your life. Best advice I can give is "Slow and Sure" don't get discouraged if by say week 2 or 3 your not out dancing or hiking like a mountain climber. People who heal like that are not the norm. You have to own your recovery, take charge of it to make it work for you. You will recover at your own pace. That was one mistake I made thinking I wasn't coming along fast enough. Ok will stop preaching now and let you go  back to recovering lol
