It's getting worst .. HELP

Alright so let me start from the beginning .. I've had BV for the past 5 months now . In the beginning it was a On & off thing but the past few months it's been a constant thing.. it completely ruins your self confidence and sex life.. now let me begin by explaining how I got this.. I was in a relationship at the time and my partner had accidentally ejaculated in me during sexual intercourse . Immediately after I took plan B and everything was fine.. 3 days passed and i was in a store and i kept on smelling a fishy / period like odor.. I didn't think it was me until I bent down to pick something up and it hit me so hard.. it is the most disgusting odor you can ever imagine. . I am a freak when it comes to hygiene and I go to the extreme when it comes to taking care of my body . So poor hygiene is not the case here.. my symptoms is a foul smelling discharge . I've tried almost everything .. this might sound disgusting but if you want to know how bad it smells get in the shower and put a finger up your punani and you'll smell the most horrible odor. So it's definitely something inside my vagina that is off.. I went to the doctor and she prescribed me metronidazole . It worked good and all for a week and as soon as I had intercourse for the first time again , it came right back .. I read about inserting acidophilus into your vagina at night .AND let me tell you .. I've been doing this for about two days and the smell has gotten stronger.. I had intercourse with my partner a day after inserting the pill and as embarrassing as this is . The left over dissolved pills was all over his private. With the most unimaginable odor to it. I was so embarrassed and I've truly never felt this stressed out in my life. I'm in a serious relationship and this is completely ruining Everything for me. Luckily my bf is a very understanding person but I feel so self conscious and he's starting to notice it . I drink rephrese brand pills that supposedly levels out your bacteria and yeast . I've been taking this for weeks now and I see no results .. I've tried soaking my tampon in coconut oil and Honestly I'm just on a stage where I feel like I'm putting so many things up there and I'm just making it worst. my next attempt is the tampon in yogurt and I'm also going to try the RePresh odor control application which you can buy at Walmart for 15 dollars. I've invested so much money time and effort into trying to solve this and just nothing works out for me.. I hope the yogurt works.. please give me advice for me the most concerning thing is the odor. If I can just find something to help out with the smell at first I'll be fine and then I'll start looking for ways to cure this once and for all .. HELP please

I know a lot doctors don’t thing so but I really feel like men can be carriers of BV. I’ve read somewhere that men can carry the BV bacteria in their urethra. Therefore, he could be reinfecting you on accident. The reason I feel this way is because I was in a similar situation where I had a new partner & after some time together we stopped using protection. Immediately after we stopped using protection, I got my very first BV infection in August 2015. Last Sept (2016) I took my last Flagyl rx (after about 4 times of being infected) to get rid of the BV & I make him use condoms every single time. I’ve been BV Free now for a year as of 9/21. I should also add that I’ve tried the at home remedies suggested by everyone, including EVERYTHING you’ve listed& nothing worked/lasted for me. The only thing that worked for me was making my partner use condoms. I’d suggest having your partner get tested. If the doctor isn’t willing to test him as most wont just tell the doctor that the rx is for you but give it to him. If he doesn’t want to take the rx then I’d suggest condoms. Also here some other small things I’ve changed as well:
1. no tampons during my period, I use organic pads (7th Generation brand).
2. I use my hands to wash my vagina-no loofah, no washcloth....just hands
3. no thongs, after my last BV I took a really hot iron & ironed the crotch of all of my underwear that were iron safe to get rid of any germs. Anything that wasn’t iron safe, I threw away
4. I use a detachable showerhead so that I can rinse my vagina thoroughly. It helps get in the nooks & crannies.

I've had a similar situation. Even when your boyfriend is understanding you can't help but be self conscious and the smell is the WORST thing to worry about and stress over, alongside the general discomfort. But after trying tons of remedies I've found the rephresh gel for vaginal odor works the best to get rid of the smell. The inserts only last 3 days and it's back so it does get pricey at $16 for 4 but if you're like me I'm willing to pay anything just to be more comfortable with myself and it's safe to have sex with as well. You'll notice white chunks if you choose to have sex with it but it also works as a lubricant so that's nice as well. Just let your partner know before hand that the white chunks are nothing to worry about. Kind of gross but way better than the embarrassing smell. And its at least a few days of guaranteed freshness. Then in the meantime continue to research new methods for yourself because the gel doesn't cure bv! Hope this helps a little.
