Decided I wiil do nothing all day.

Got up at 7.30 and went straight to my recliner.  Husband made breakfast.😍Stayed on recliner for 3/4 hour.  What  now?  Oh, a little tiding up wont hurt!  Tidied up and dusted round (the sun, you know)!  Returned to recliner.  Now what?  It'll send me barmy if I sit here all day.😕. OK - could just wash the bathroom floor!!  Done!  Now it is 9.45.  That's 13 hours before I go to bed!  Now what?

Winter tires, I had studded tires for my Mercedes in Germany and then used them in home New England, until they were outlawed. Now here in New Mexico, I drive a 4WD, up and down the mountains no problems. It had soft winter tires but I put normal tires, last fall still okay.

I think with the oceans getting warmer we are going to get more climate changes and nobody truly understand how it will effect everywhere.

I have never had winter tires and I live in the Catskills. We get an average of 12 ft of snow each winter. I live on top of a hill and used to have only front wheel drive. On average I would only not drive out and work from home a couple of days every winter and I have only had one time in many years where I could not make it home, but only by about 500 yards. I had to park my car and walk the rest of the way. And this was because of black ice, not snow. Of course, I have to admit that we have great snow removal here. Every morning before 7 my street is plowed and I live literally in the middle of nowhere.

Now I drive a 4 wheel drive and I am sure that my excuse not to go to work would only be valid when we get blasted with 3 ft at once, which seems to happen once every winter too.

koen1 most of the time our roads are pretty clear. I worked this past winter as a ski instructor, so I had to get up the mountain before our guest, sometimes before the road was plowed. I appreciate it the 4WD on those occasions. Looking forward to another great ski season, work hard to be ready!
