Itchiness that won't go away for months, herpes?

Had unprotected sex in February this year and have had itchiness in penis, testicle, anus and area between testicles and anus ever since the next morning.
No blisters or textbook symptoms.
Itchiness is worse after sweating or when wearing tight clothes. Was worst the week after sex but has never stopped. Itchiness is not localized to one or two spots but all throughout at different times in the day.
My question is, can herpes display itself like this? I've read that itchiness will only occur before and during the breakout, but I've never really had one and most breakouts stop after 2 weeks at max, and this has been 7 months. Could this be anything other than herpes?
Haven't had sex or been able to take an STD test bc of financial reasons, I understand I should get one.

I tried an antifungal tinacin and it made the itchiness worse actually. Baby powder provided temporary relief very well.

I wonder if it's just a simple irritation like a bit of dermatitis. I get that occasionally, and sweat can make it itch more. If so, try a bit of topical hydrocortisone and see if that helps.

Ok I will. it just seems suspiciously coincidental to start happening right after unprotected sex...
Also, wouldn't dermatitis go away on its own? That's what I've read online. And have not had dry skin per say.

My gut thought is that it is a reallY mild (low viral load) of herpes that my body is having a tough time creating antibodies for, which could explain why it hasn't gone away.

Friction burn from the sex triggered it, lol? Mine was triggered by tea tree oil, and now it seems to flare up a little whenever I'm sweaty.
Anyway, hydrocortisone is a general skin cream/ointment that helps calm inflammation, so it may help whatever it is, but don't use it long-term. If it doesn't help or feels worse, stop using it and consider setting a doctor. At least it's not herpes!

Really doesn't sound like herpes, so if it is, you have a most unusual presentation of the virus! You can test at 3 months by the HSV IgG (*not* IgM) antibody test. The vast majority of people have detectable antibodies by then.

If it doesn't help it long term though, what should I do?

Well I have herpes,It hurts me to say that. I got it about 27 years ago, didn't have a break out for 25 years. I thought I'd be the one person that would never get another breakout. Well I did and it hurts like hell. One night of sex, and years of misery. Painful buggers. Ok I never itch though. You have something but not herpes. You do have a STD. Go to the ER,and they have to take care of you. Honestly don't wait.
