itching on one side of labia, different appearance? pics included

what could this be? to stop the periodic itching i just apply hydrocortisone cream to the area and that usually calms it down. ive had this spot for a while now, im not sure what it could be but it doesnt seem conclusive to hsv2 or any std that ive seen. any help at all would be greatly appreciated. imageimage

second image is a little more blurry but the boxed area is where the irritation is. ive not used any irritants down there so im not sure what it could be as it is only on one side (as is the itching). ive seen similar issues but im not sure if this is vaginosis or a yeast infection or what. due to the outbreak i am a little hesitant to get checked.
