Itching outside labia majora

I have had some strange itching on the outside of my labia majora. Do any of you have that issue and how do you treat it? Is it also LS??

    Hi Sandra,

I have had that too and think it is LS related.  I have 'treated' it with Witch Hazel just recently.  It helps temporarely.  The whole area is/has been severely affected by LS.  There is no doubt scar tissue and like with any scar there is probably some kind of pulling and itching, is my thinking.  But don't quote me on that.

Just to say - I have experienced it too.

Yes, I did. It was a fungal infection and I was prescribed another cream for it. It lingered for quite a while and despite many visits to clinics etc. I was finally told by my gynecologist (I visit her every 6 months) that it was a result of using cortisone too often, so  I'm thinking your best bet is to see your dermatologist/gynecologist rather than a general practitioner to get things sorted out.

Yes I have had that too, The itch is just insidious.  I did not use the cortosine

cream too much because I was afraid of it. Mine is completely under control now and I don't have any symptoms anymore.

Hi Sandra, I find the best thing is to keep the area as dry as possible after urinating ,bathing etc, a very fine dusting of talcum helps, but do no put to much on,just dab the area with toilet paper do not rub or it will make it sore

May or may not be. There are many other factors, you need to look at. Do you have a yeast infection? Is your PH off? Do you have any color changes? With LS you can experience severe clitoral itching. When I start a flare up my itching did start there and then goes full blast and looks like a bad heat rash from front to back.
