Itching shingle scars

Hello, i was diagnosed with shingles at the end of March last year. The rash was above my right eyebrow and took about 4-6 weeks to heal. The scarring left by the shingles has occasionally burned/stung/felt cold (due to nerve damage I'm guessing). The pain usually crops up when i am tired. Over the last week, the area of scarring has felt quite itchy on and off. Is it normal for the scars to itch so long after the initial infection? I have health anxiety and am worried this could be a sign of re-occurrence. Any advice would be appreciated.
