Has anyone had itchy legs with ckd

    Hi. Yes I am suffering with it now. It does come and go and is a syntom of the condition.

    Itching is s symptom of CKD. It usually means your phosphorus...if you are on dialysis it is one of the factors you have to watch...you might want to look up the symptoms of CKD...or talk to your doctor

    Hello davey72, YES

    Not only itching legs - can be anywhere or everywhere, often keeps me awake for hours . I have Piriton (anti-histamine) to hand, take it when I have had an itchy day with the hope of a good night's sleep. I have been told that high creatinine levels can cause this but that mine was not high enough!

    I also have multiple chemical allergies - only developed in later life - which may contribute. It seems people generally are becoming more allergy prone these days - so be aware of any foods (things like fish, eggs, tomato skins etc.) or tablets/meds that could contribute even if you have never had an allergy. I suddenly became allergic to paracetamol at age 74! NO idea why.

    I'm sure there could be other reasons too, but most of us blame failing kidneys for our symptoms.
