Hello trisha87499  what you describe sounds like a reaction to something you have used topically or ingested. Are you on any medication that is opiated based ? Reason I ask is this medication group has this side effect. Do you have a rash or any redness on your skin ? Try and think if you have eaten or used anything like new food wise or drink, or used different soap or fabric conditioner etc there is a reason you just need to brain storm it and find it. In the meantime put cotton loose against your skin after a cool shower like a large t shirt or mans shirt this will cool your body down. Go to pharmacy or doctors and ask for antihistamine medication this should make you more comfortable it can have a sedately side effect so be aware, but you still need to find the cause. If you can't it may be stress anxiety related. I hope I have helped with my advice I have a medical background kind regards Harriet

Very good advise, thank you, I'm not on any opiate based medication and I have not changed or used anything different of late, I take anti hysterimes for hay fever, do you think they can be related?

No I don't think it is due to the antihistamine, it sounds awful for you, I hope you get it sorted soon there is always a reason ........

you have recieved good advise to follow, but wonder what you would think of bathing in some of those anti itch oatmeal bath pkgs.  Make sure to check with your pharmacy what antihistimine goes best with your medication.  Maybe there is a lotion with antihistimine in it.  Anyway wish you luck as what you are going through would drive me mad!!

Thank you Debbie, I get this itchiness maybe 2 or 3 times a week, however each time it's getting worse and lasting longer, it's a nightmare.
