Itchy bumps inside vagina and on pubic area?!

Hey guys, so let me start off by saying I'm 20 years old. In my life I've only ever had three sex partners. The first in 2014 (Jan-feb) and the second the same year (Dec-Feb'15). Recently (April 28th) I slept with this guy whom I've been talking too for a few months and got bv. I went to my dr and got put on oral meds for it and she said it was caused by a change in my ph levels. Most likely caused by sex cause it had been awhile. That went away and everything was fine until this past Tuesday.

I had been at my boyfriends house for the Memorial Day weekend and on Tuesday after we had sex I noticed a fishy smell. I instantly knew it was bv so that day I went to my dr. She did the "whif test" and confirmed it was in fact bv, again. She wanted to put me on the gel medicine this time because apparently it had a greater chance of decreasing the chances of getting it again. I agreed and picked up the meds on the way home.

I get home and immediately open the medicine and it doesn't come with the applicators it's suppose to. Luckily my sister hadn't used her treatment from months ago so she gave me the brand new, unopened applicators. I waited till Wednesday morning to use it becsuse it said to shower first. Well I got home from work that day and it hard SO bad whenever I would pee. Long story short the meds I was given were for your face rather than your vag. Mentronidazole Gel 0.75. There's TWO DIFFERENT ones. I immediately went to the ER (my dr was closed) and they ran a urine test but said no infections came back. But gave me a one time pill for yeast infectiOn just in case the gel caused one.

Earlier that day I had called my doctor and left a voicemail to get switched to the oral Meds and that the pharmacy gave me the face medicine rather than vagina. So I started to take the oral medication because I couldn't see my dr until Monday. I went to my doctor this morning and let her know everything that was going on.

She wanted to run a urine test and the results came back I had no infections just like the ER. I told her about the itchy bumps I had gotten inside my vagina and she said she wanted to test them to see if it's herpes.

I of course immediately got scared and that's all I'm able to think about. The bumps burn and itch, and it hurts realllly bad to pee.

I get my results back Wednesday and my doctor put me on ACYCLOVIR 400mg just in case. What do you think?
