Itchy itchy.....

uggghhhh my scar itches so much!!!!!! 13 days ago I had my surgery and I feel pretty good but I itch! I know I'm healing but boy is it bugging me 😡😡😡😡😡😡

    Im 12 days and hopefully getting the dressings off today.. they are driving me nuts. Im praying thats what so itchy. If its the scar rub aleo vera or sorbelene into it.

    Oh boy , I wish I was at my 13th day post op and itching. I am anticipating my nov. hip replacement. Hope it subsides for you soon.

      I was in your shoes a few months ago. I'm glad it's over but I still have a long way to go. Stay positive it feels amazing when u can stand without pain ❤️

      Can't even imagine what that feels like. It's been so long that I have felt pain when I stand up.😅

      Sure clissy there is pain. ....actally with me no...its not pain its like an extreme stiffness . Its hard getting in and out of bed.....etc but thats not permanent. .... but I can stand without pain. .walk on crutches without pain.....its awesome and you will feel like that too and im only 12 days.

    I was same drove me mad but they removed my staples at 10 days. They recommended 10 to 12 days post op for re

    moval as the skin starts to grow round staple and makes it more uncomfortable to remove. have you still got the staples? I found once they were removed the itching disappeared. maggiex

      Ive got dissolvable sutures. The nurse came today and decided i needed a dressing for another 4 days. ... i swear she ripped a layer of s kin off.. holey moley. Itching stopped lol

    hi tammy ...

    got my stitches out yesterday ( 12 days post-op) - itching is less , however I have 2 scars now being sensitive and itching .... arghhhh - oh well - 

    if this is my worst problem (nah, it isn't) ......

    It's a good sign its itching means it's healing well just check to make sure you haven't any weeping if does start to weep go to straight away to your Dr for antibiotics xx
