Itchy, red, and very very swollen vagina

I went to see a gynecologist three days ago and it wasn't this bad at all. It was a little red near the clitoris but i mostly just went because the outside of my vagina was very itchy and it was painful to have sex. When the doctor looked at it she said it could be herpes or just a yeast infection. And im really hoping its just a yeast infection or something that can be cured. She gave me some medicine took some tests and im still waiting on the results, but now it's so much worse. It's super swollen, itchy on the outside and inside, burns red, and there's some discharge. It does not hurt to pee which I think is a good sign? There's also a very painful large red lump on my bikini line. I've had smaller lumps similar to this one that have appeared in the same spot but it was never this bad. The lump is also causing parts of my inner thigh to hurt. I added a picture. Any ideas what is happening? I made another appointment for tomorrow but I just need answers. image
