Yes, quite a few people have had this and it has various causes.
It is listed in the 'rare side effects' buy it does not seem to rare to me.
It can be 'hives' or an allergy. If you are taking enteric coated, wash the dye off, this sometimes can be the cause.
Others will be along to help as well.

I suffered some year or so ago, of terrible itching all over my back, front, shoulders etc. Somewhere I read about Dr Stuarts Echinacea Plus tea. I started having tea in the morning, mid day and afternoon. It is not unpleasant. Iwas scratching so much all day, but worse at night, when it deprived me of sleep. I had scratches and bleeding. My nighties were stained, and sheets. Doctors could not offer any help. They said it was Pruritus, and due to (as usual...) old age...I persevered with Echinacea tea, and now I am completely free of itching. Also, I have noted that I do not catch colds ? The last two winters...but this winter, I am keeping quiet..and hope to get through it safely....I am 87, and Polything ! ! .....got me !.....Now, I am going to get rid of it, as soon as I know how !...? Hope you will get rid of the itching soon. Granny Moss

Itchy skin can be quite distressing especially if it occurs overnight as well. Do you feel that you've got a dry skin condition? I have dry skin and have found over the years that if I avoid showering every day and just go for the strip-down wash, my skin is so much better. You've probably tried all the usual things like sticking to non-bio washing powders and not using any perfumed soaps etc in the bath/shower. Have you tried using aqueous cream for bathing/showering - Boots sells large tubs and you can also get it on prescription, and follow with a good moisturiser.
As an afterthought, in the summer I suffered from a very persistent red, itchy rash on my stomach and middle back areas lasting a few months and it drove me mad - I had previously added blueberries to my diet on a regular basis. I stopped eating them and the rash disappeared....bliss!
Do hope you find a solution soon.

When I lived in Teddington (many moons ago) I had a dry skin problem. My GP. at that time was about 26. Her advice, shower no more than once a week and a strip down wash the other days. Hair washed no more than twice a week. Reason, water, soap, shampoo etc were stripping all the natural oils out of the skin. Followed the advice and still do to this day.
However, I now have dry skin on feet - been told to try E45 - will give it a go.
I use dry aerosol Savlon for thes places where you get a rash and glow (horses sweat, men perspire and ladies glow) its brilliant.
There you have it, another lot of useless information.

If E45 doesn't help with your feet, I really recommend a gel called Doublebase - I have dry skin under the soles of my feet with several seed corns (inherited from my dear Mum) which the clinic remove every 2-3 months. They recommended Doublebase, which is described as highly moisturising, proetctive and hydrating, and I'm finding it excellent. My friend who has very delicate and difficult skin uses it as a moisturiser all over her body. It isn't too expensive and it is available over the counter or on prescription.
from MrsO - another lady who \"glows\"!!!

I would rather try a recommendation from a mate than a clinic.
So Doublebase tomorrow, if it does not snow again and again and again.
Two whole days no snow - then this afternoon - blizzards again.

I use Compeed cracked heel repair cream which I buy in Superdrug which is a very rich cream I use it on my hands before I go to do my horses ( I buy several pairs of cheap gloves so it doesnt matter if they get greasy ) and since I have used it I havent had any cracks and splits in my skin I always use it last thing at night also
If my feet are dry I cover them in the same cream and wear cotton socks I tried all the foot and cracked heel creams I could before I settled on this one after hearing a beauty tip on TV that they were much more effective than any hand or skin creams
Best wishes
