Itchy sore swollen anus

Hi...
I've had an Itchy, sore and swollen anus for about a week now and no signs of it clearing.
It itches intensely throughout the day and the only way to calm it and to stop it from being so sore is using coconut oil.
Any ideas what it could be?
I thought maybe it could be a fissure but there is no tear. It only bleeds when I wipe after pooing which I think is from the soreness of the skin.
It's also waking me up in the early hours of the morning with intense itching and burning.

Diet: do you drink a lot of beer? Do you have a diet high in dairy products...cheese,milk,yogurt,cream etc. you could try cutting out any of these to see if it makes a difference.
Fungal infection: Wash and dry thoroughly after every bowel movement....sometimes this is enough to combat the problem, but a cream with Clotrimazole can be helpful if you get desperate. Sweat often contributes to the problem so it is essential to try and keep the area dry. Dont wear pants of any sort at night and only wear cotton pants during the day. Wash your pants at a high temperature.
Threadworms: Do you handle animals a lot...cats/dogs/rabbits etc? Threadworms are easily caught from these animals. If you have a partner ask them to look at your bottom just before you go to bed. They may be able to see the white threads if this is due to worms. You can buy threadworm treatment OTC. You need advice from a vet as to how to treat the animals...dont use the human medicine for them.
Could also be Bullous Impetigo. Can you see tiny blisters which have burst and these are making the soreness? This often clears after about 3 weeks as strangely and silently as it appeared. Again, clotrimamzole can help and keeping the area clean and dry.
Hope this is of some help to you. If nothing seems to help then you should see a doctor.
