I'm a New Orleanian displaced since Hurricane Katrina.  I now live in South Carolina.  Had my surgery done here in Columbia, SC.  But will be moving back to Louisiana next year!  Yay!  South Carolina has been great but as soon as we got here, I turned to my husband and said, "We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto!"  Culture shock!  Hello to all the hippies all over the world!

    Hello!

I'm from Albuquerque, New Mexico and had my first (and hopefully only) THR the end of May.  Love you guys!

    I am in Devon U.K.

Hip replaced in May due to a fall , so nothing planned, just went out expecting to return home in a few hours, not a week later as it turned out.

Doing well can do most things, kneeling to weed is a little difficult, not a big problem in the great scheme of things.

I had mine in May also, and kneeling is still hard, my knee feels tight in the top and back. I use a chair to kneel to the floor. I hope that gets better soon.I wonder if there is a speific exercise we can do to help that along.

Hi sassybees, I'm from Yarra Junction, Victoria, Australia. Had a RTHR last Monday in The Valley Private hospital. 6 days post-op, feeling ok, some pain and stiffness, but what has surprised me is how tired I feel!

Im vic as well.....yay a fellow victorian. Will be interesting to see what youre surgeon said. ...im 8 days post op... st vincents. No sleeping on your side.....no blood thinners

I'm on 1 aspirin daily for 6 weeks as a blood thinner and to counteract the effects of that on stomach, 1 tab daily of nexium. Painkillers, endone & panadol. Have to wear TED stockings for 3 weeks, no sleeping on bad side and no showers for 2 weeks. Just from what I've been reading on this forum every surgeon has different protocols!
